Besides the theoretical part, the doctor will present a live demonstration of the procedure, with an interesting case. The patient is 71 years old. Main complaint - Facial paralysis, difficulty closing eyelids, watery eyes.
Anamnesis: in 1993, she was provided a procedure of removing the nerve on the left side of the face. After which, the deformation of the left face was visible in the periorbital area.
The patient mentioned that 1.5 years ago, she got the face lifting by threads, canthopexy, which aesthetical results didn't last long. She was treated by an ophthalmologist (eye drops).
Ptosis of the soft tissues on the left side, angle of the mouth, border of the lower left side is visible.
Diagnosis: left-sided paralysis of the facial nerve.
Suggested procedures: Blepharoplasty on the left side, with APTOS threads for lifting and
Spacer, also according to Aptos methods.
