Aptos Spring is non-absorbable Polypropylene monofilament thread spirally wrapped around the needle. For improved visibility in the operating field, monofilament is dyed blue with non-irritating dye, which is approved for use in medical devices. The thread has a hydrophobic and smooth surface.

In this particular product, the shape of the thread has been modified mechanically to achieve spring – spiral – like look. Aptos Springs are based on the unique principle: Due to the special form, springs enable to elevate ptotic soft tissues of mimically active zones, armoring of subcutaneous tissues, strengthen loose tissues and as a result provide rejuvenated effect, as a minimally invasive method of thread lifting. Spring design is used to achieve ease of delivery/implantation of the entire thread into sub dermal tissue.
